Community Service & Philanthropy
Whether I am learning at school, working in artist circles, or resting at home, I am grateful and fortunate to be surrounded by such a profoundly uplifting community. As such, I firmly believe in giving back to both my community and others by partaking in community service.
Edward’s Pandemic PSA
This past year, the COVID-19 pandemic introduced a slew of unique challenges for the world, among them being uncertainty surrounding proper health and safety guidelines. Thus, in May of 2020 I created a video PSA featuring the Thomas the Tank Engine characters from my channel, TheFamousEight, to educate the public on at-the-time CDC recommended health and safety precautions. Garnering 6.7K views, the PSA reached a large community of both children and adults alike.
National Junior Honors Society
During my time in middle school, I was heavily involved with The NJHS (National Junior Honors Society), serving as the organization’s treasurer during the eighth grade. By way of my involvement with the NJHS, I actively participated in multiple philanthropic endeavors, averaging 11.5 hours per week of community service.
The Arthritis Foundation
As a volunteer for the Arthritis Foundation during my freshman year, I participated in charitable runs raising money for the cause while also volunteering to greet customers and set up racks at local businesses.
